Helpful thoughts to lift your own spirits. You are a powerful influence on others.

“You become most powerful in whatever you do if the action is performed for its own sake rather than as a means to protect, enhance, or conform to your role identity.”

― Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

Powerful 17 x 21 inches or smaller

I am embarking on a new path to include inspiring quotes with each of my paintings. In searching Google for quotes, I found more than a quarter million quotes were available on the Goodreads.com. You can search for quotes by particular authors or with your choice of tags. I highly recommend their site.

Most of the quotes I am currently using come from Eckhart Tolle. If you have never read one of his books, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Life can be hard if you have been conditioned to experience it in the wrong way. Eckhart’s teachings and books can help you dig out of the hole of misery and wrong thinking. They are non-denominational and are the elements that I believe are behind all religious beliefs before mankind warped specific denominational beliefs to include disdain for all but themselves. The ego is a wonderful and powerful and sometimes evil influence.

I feel like the world can become a more wonderful place when enough of us enjoy our life. We automatically influence all those we come in contact with. If you hang out with depressed and unhappy people do you notice how it drags you down? And if you hang out with excited and happy people, do you notice how you are uplifted.

My suggestion for you is to just notice what is going on with you. Becoming aware is the first step to awakening to a state that will help you increase your joy in life. Joyful people help raise the consciousness of those with less joy.

Have a Powerfully wonderful day.
