Driven To Paint

One of the wonderful things about taking up painting late in life is that it give my life focus and meaning every day. I am not one to sit and watch TV to entertain my life away.

I suspect I am one of the older painters on social media. Most my age did not get comfortable with the Internet when they were young and enthusiastic. So they have a little more fear approaching a computer than this 73 year old.

I am driven not only to create new paintings every day and share them, but also figuring out how to share them more widely. I am not focused on the transactional relationships of selling, but aiming more toward the transformational relationships of creating connections with other inspirational artists.

I want my paintings to be an inspiration to other Internet viewers of all kinds.

Enough philosophy talk for today. Here are snippets of the paintings for the entire week including todays paintings:

The above are arranged in defending date order. So todays are at the top. This is the view you get if you ever take time to check out But the top row of paintings will include the current days postings (usually by noon). I actually post the paintings created the previous day as there is quite a bit of time consuming work involved in this blogging and posting that I am currently doing in the morning.

It might be wise to try doing the writing in the evening and painting in the morning, but the writing part is actually much harder for me. It doesn’t come as natural and requires a fresher brain than painting requires.

As always, I hope you enjoy these paintings and share them with your followers if you find something that resinates with you.

My greatest joy is in being able to entertain a large number of people with my work.

Oh, I almost forgot! I want to share the link to my free full resolution downloads to this small audience. Today I will start trying to get people to join my mailing list here and am trying to automate sending them a link to this secret download page.

The mail automation will explain to click on the lower arrow to download a selected painting while the upper right arrow will email you a link to download the entire gallery as a zip file.

I am hoping people will only print one copy of these for personal use. If find someone else is successful in marketing them, please let me know. I may be able to profit from the pirates.
